Today the Saints will take on the San Francisco 49ers. Drew Brees has been on fire but the 49ers have the best defense in the NFL. However, the bye week can hurt the 49ers because Drew Brees and the Saints are in such a groove it is going to be hard to contain number 9.
Then at 8:00, the Denver Broncos travel to Foxboro where they try to ride on the Tebow Train. Tom Brady looks to end the Broncos Cinderella story and move on to the AFC Championship game next Sunday.
On Sunday at 1:00, Arian Foster and the rest of the Houston Texans travel to Baltimore to try and squash the possible last chance for Ray Lewis to get another ring. Joe Flacco needs to distribute the ball especially to half back Ray Rice.
And finally, the New York Giants head to Lambeau Field to take on the defending champs in a rematch from the 2007 NFC championship game. The Packers, coming off of a bye, look to use Greg Jennings and their other talented receivers to score their way into the next round. Eli Manning and his 3 talented receivers look to counter their attack.
In the first game, I think that Drew Brees is too hard to handle right now. Even though the 49ers defense is good, Drew Brees is on another level right now.
Saints 27
49ers 17
For the 8:00 game, Tebow’s ride ends here. Tom Brady is too good. The Steelers were not the same Steelers as they were during the season last week. They were hurt and out of whack. The combination of Brady and Gronkowski and possibly Welker is too much to handle.
Broncos 10
Patriots 24
Arian Foster is a key player to watch in the first game on Sunday. The Ravens defense is going to control T.J. Yates, but if Foster can get going, the Texans might have a shot. However, I think the Ravens are going to come away with the victory.
Texans 23
Ravens 31
The final game is just as difficult to call as the others. Both of these offenses have clicked this season. The Packers are gaining WR Greg Jennings back from their injury. The bye could either help or hurt the Packers. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t taken a live snap in three whole weeks. The Giants defense has been clicking the last three weeks. They had a huge game last week at home, holding the Falcons to 2 total points. If the Giants D-line can get to Aaron Rodgers quickly, then I think they have a shot. The Giants have a better run game and a better defense at this moment.
Giants 35
Packers 27
