Game of the Century Huh?

Well that was not what everyone expected. When watching the LSU vs Alabama game last night I was not only expecting a high scoring showdown but I was hoping for one also. I normally don't watch College Football. However, this game was too good to not watch. It seemed as though everyone thought the game was going to be close, but definitely not this close. It seemed as though the only ones who showed up were each team's defenses.

The game itself was pretty boring. I did like how even the teams were. Which gets me to my next point of concern. Don't you think both of these teams deserve to play in the BCS National Championship game? These two teams are equal powerhouses' and both deserve to play against each other in the National Championship. I do not know much about the BCS playoff and ranking system. Quite frankly, I am confused by the whole system. I don't think it is fair that just because Alabama lost yesterday, they cannot play in the BCS National Championship Game. It doesn't make sense to me.

I have been hearing a lot of people demanding for a rematch. I think if the season shapes out the way everyone thinks it will, a LSU-Alabama rematch would be fair and just awesome. LSU coach Les Miles was asked after the game about a chance of a rematch and he states "I would be honored to play that football team again.".

What do you think? Should NCAA football change their ranking system? Should they allow these two teams to play a rematch?
